OK - I haven't blogged lately, even though my last two posts have threatened a big comeback. This is not a drill. I have several things on my mind today, but the best blog story is my upcoming trips to small town USA, and Beverly Hills/Palm Springs.
I am doing Arbonne - I haven't even had time to blog about this, but it is going really well. In fact, I have been promoted to VP in just 3.5 months and ordered my new car - here is a picture:
OK - so I am going to support my team, and one of my 'legs' is out by herself in small-town-usa (now know as STUSA). I am going to go down there and do a "BOM" or Business Overview Meeting. So she is struggling with where to have it, because there is only one hotel with a meeting room and it is booked, so she wants to have it in the waiting room of the dentist's office where she works. This is the transcript of our discussion:
Jobin: Well, it isn't that I won't do it in a dentist's office, it is just that I am not sure this is exactly the right place to have it. Is there a restaurant we can meet in?
STUSA Friend: Well, we can fit 8 people there and we can do more than one session. Or, if you want to, we can move it to the upstairs room, but we would have to move the tanning bed. Or, we could...
Jobin (interrupting): STUSA - I am going to stop you right there. Did I hear you say 'tanning bed'?
STUSA: Yes, we just got it
Jobin: You have a dentist with a tanning bed?
STUSA (defensively): Yes, Jobin, but it isn't for the patients, it is just for the staff.
You can't make this up people. I suggested that they let patients use it, it would make the teeth seem whiter.
She is going to call "Gary" to see if we can use the restaurant instead. This is the same "Gary" who owns the Holiday Inn Express. I dub Gary the Boss Hawg of STUSA.
Contrast this with the next weekend, when I will be going to training in Palm Springs at a lovely resort, and then holding a BOM in LA at the 4 seasons.
The blogs just write themselves people.
My car will be newer then yours.
